Privacy Policy

This policy describes how LowCode Fusion Software Development ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the AutoBid GY mobile application ("the App") and related services. By using the App you agree to this policy and to our Terms & Conditions, which are shown in-app and must be accepted before you can access the platform.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Name, email address, phone number, and (optionally) profile photo when you create an account.
- Sign-in identifiers from Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In if you authenticate via those providers.
- A record that you have accepted our Terms & Conditions (stored as a boolean flag on your account). This is required to use the App — users who have not accepted are blocked from accessing any features until they do.
Identity verification (individual sellers)
If you register as an individual seller, you must upload a photo of a government-issued ID (e.g. national ID, passport, or driver's licence) before you can publish your first listing. This photo is stored in Firebase Cloud Storage, is accessible only to you and our admin team, and is used solely to verify your identity and deter fraudulent listings. It is not shared with buyers or other sellers.
Dealer information
If you register as a dealer, we additionally collect your dealership name, address, logo, banner, tagline, business hours, WhatsApp number, website, and (optionally) the precise coordinates of your storefront so we can display you on the dealer map.
Listing information
- Vehicle details you submit (make, model, year, mileage, price, photos, description, etc.).
- Photos you upload to your listings, stored in Firebase Cloud Storage.
Payment information
When you purchase a platform service — a dealer subscription, a listing boost, or a featured placement — the payment is processed by Mobile Money Guyana (MMG). You enter your payment details on MMG's secure hosted checkout; we never see or store your MMG wallet credentials, card numbers, or PINs. We store only a payment record (the service purchased, amount, currency, a transaction/order reference, status, and timestamp) so we can activate what you paid for, show your purchase history, support refunds, and meet tax and accounting obligations. Buyer-to-seller payments for a vehicle are not processed by us; the 2.5% commission on a completed auction is recorded for reporting and settled as published in-app.
Activity
- Listings you view, save, or inquire about.
- Bids you place, messages you send to other users, and purchase requests you submit.
- Aggregate metrics: view counts, save counts, inquiry counts, bid counts. Counters are capped at +1 per write so they reflect honest engagement.
- A local-only history of the last 10 vehicles you viewed, stored on your device (not synced or shared). You can clear this from your device settings by clearing the app's storage.
Chat and attachments
- Text of every message you send and receive within the App, stored in Cloud Firestore so both participants can read the conversation across devices.
- Image and document attachments (photos from camera/gallery and files like PDFs / Word / Excel — up to 20 MB) that you send in chat, stored in Firebase Cloud Storage under a per-conversation folder. Attachments are visible to all participants of that chat.
- Read receipts: the App records which participants have opened each message so the sender can see a "Seen" indicator. You cannot disable this for outbound messages — by sending you accept that the recipient may know when you've read theirs.
- When you delete a message, the message body and any attachment file are immediately wiped from our servers; a small "Message deleted" tombstone remains in the conversation so the other side knows the message existed.
- When you delete an entire chat, every message and every attachment in that conversation is permanently deleted from our servers for both sides.
Device information
- Push notification tokens from Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can deliver alerts (new messages, inquiries, bids, price drops on vehicles you've saved). Tokens are stored in a private per-user collection that only you and our backend can read.
- Crash diagnostics from Firebase Crashlytics (device model, OS version, stack traces) — never personal content.
- Anonymous usage analytics from Firebase Analytics.
Location
The App may request your location to suggest nearby dealers. You can deny this permission at any time without losing access to other features. Dealers separately set the location of their dealership for display in the directory, and when you tap "Directions" we hand that coordinate to Google Maps (which opens in your installed Google Maps app, or your browser as a fallback) — we never track that you tapped Directions or where you went.
2. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and authenticate sign-ins.
- To record your acceptance of our Terms & Conditions and enforce the requirement that all users accept before accessing the platform.
- To publish your listings and connect buyers with sellers.
- To enable messaging (including image and document attachments), inquiries, bidding, and purchase requests.
- To send notifications about replies to your messages, inquiries on your listings, bid updates, dealership-verification status, and price drops on vehicles you've saved.
- To enforce listing limits: individual sellers may have a maximum of 3 active listings at a time (vehicles and heavy equipment combined) so the marketplace stays fair for all users.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations.
- To improve the App via aggregate, non-identifying analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations under the laws of Guyana and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.
3. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your personal information.
Public information
Listings you publish (vehicle details, photos, your dealership name, location, contact methods you choose to expose) are public by design — that's the marketplace. Your private contact details (email, phone) are only revealed to other users when you explicitly send an inquiry or message.
Service providers
We share data with third-party processors that help us run the App. They process data on our behalf under their respective privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging for push notifications, Cloud Functions for the push trigger and price-drop alerts, Crashlytics, Analytics, App Check) — see Firebase Privacy.
- Google Sign-In for OAuth — see Google Privacy.
- Apple Sign-In for OAuth on iOS — see Apple Privacy.
- Google Maps — the App hands the dealer's coordinate to Google Maps when you tap "Directions" so it can open the route in the Google Maps app (or your browser as a fallback). See Google Privacy.
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on iOS and Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android — both used to deliver push notifications. Apple and Google handle the device-side delivery under their own privacy terms.
- The OS share sheet when you tap "Share" on a vehicle: the App hands a photo + text + link to whichever app you pick (WhatsApp, Messenger, Mail, SMS, etc.). That receiving app then governs the data under its own privacy policy — we don't track which target you picked.
- MMG (Mobile Money Guyana) processes payments for dealer subscriptions, listing boosts, and featured placements via its secure hosted checkout. Your payment credentials are entered on MMG's platform and handled under MMG's own privacy policy; we receive only the transaction result and a reference.
Legal disclosures
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
4. Data storage and security
Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which uses encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is gated by Firebase Security Rules: you can only read and modify your own account, listings you own, and messages you participate in. We do not have direct access to your password — authentication is delegated to Firebase Authentication.
Sensitive identifiers — specifically your push-notification tokens — are stored in a private per-user collection that is readable only by you and our backend functions; other signed-in users cannot read your tokens. Chat attachments are stored under a per-conversation folder readable to authenticated users only.
5. Retention
We keep your account and personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see Delete your account) we delete your profile, listings, messages, chat attachments, and uploaded photos within 30 days. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be retained indefinitely. Transaction and payment records are retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting laws in Guyana.
Listing retention. Listings stay live until the seller marks them sold or deletes them — they do not expire. Listings you delete yourself, and their photos, are removed from our servers.
You can also delete individual artefacts at any time: a single chat message (the body and any attachment are wiped immediately, with a "Message deleted" tombstone left behind so the other side knows it existed), or an entire chat (every message and every attachment in that conversation is permanently deleted for both sides).
6. Your rights
You may, at any time:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information through the in-app Profile screen.
- Delete your account and associated data via our deletion page or by emailing us.
- Export a copy of your data — email us and we will provide it within 30 days.
- Withdraw consent for optional features (location, push notifications) via your device settings.
- Withdraw Terms & Conditions acceptance — you may withdraw by deleting your account. If you no longer agree to the Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account as described above.
7. Children
AutoBid GY is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced in-app.
